About Protected Transport Systems

Protected Transport Systems Pty Ltd [PTS] was registered in September [2009] to provide military and police forces with armoured blast and ballistic protected vehicles; mobile equipment; and secure containers.
PTS brings together long standing Queensland manufacturing competencies of Great Western Manufacturing with Australian based Koos de Wet's more than 30 years of armour design; project management capability; and the capability to jointly design and develop appropriate blast protected solutions in conjunction with international partners.
PTS's strategy is to offer customers better than the required level of blast protection and vehicle performance; aiming for the best product supplied through the best product acquisition and life cycle support systems.
The strategy will be delivered by the Board of Protected Transport Systems:
- Executive Chairman Derek Andrews, experienced in corporate strategy, structures and compliance;
- Director and Shareholder, Koos de Wet, experienced armour designer who will also be PTS Project Manager; and…
- Director Christopher Thornton, the Managing Director of Great Western Manufacturing, the manufacturing contractor for PTS.
PTS Company Secretary is Jonathon Skinner CPA, and the majority shareholder is GWC Holdings Pty Ltd, the owner of Great Western Manufacturing.
